Seniors’ Section

The aim of the section is to cultivate the spirit of comradeship amongst senior players (age 55+) at Serlby Park Golf Club through various domestic golf matches and social events.

The majority of seniors play in the unofficial member’s competitions, which take place several days throughout the week.  Our official Seniors’ Section competitions take place every  Thursday morning.  There is a competition every week.  Usually, the 2nd Thursday of the month is a Club Yellow Tee Stableford event and the last Thursday of the month is a Club Medal event, both of which are handicap qualifying events.  On all other Thursdays we have a variety of individual and team competitions.  We usually have a “home” and an “away” match each year against the Ladies Section and organise 2 “Away Days” each year as well.

The seniors endeavour to support Serlby Park Golf Club in many areas, including the running of our successful Men’s Seniors Open and Invitation Day.

We have a reputation for being a very friendly golf club and proof can be found within the Seniors’ Section.  We are always looking for new members to join our Seniors’ Section and welcome enquiries from all interested parties.
